THRUST (variation 1.0)

When writing music my objective is to attempt to create a cyclical soundscape. What I mean by cyclical is that each audio element unnoticeably blends into that of the next. Though all my songs do possess a skeletal structure my efforts to blend each contrasting element with that of another is a delicate process. The desired outcome would make it almost inconceivable to point out where one section ends and the other begins. One may classify my choice of musical phrasing as repetitive, however, there are constant fluctuations heard relative to the sound quality of each audio element.

The variations within the second chapter of the THRUST series project, THRUST (variation 1.0), are minimal yet significant. These minor variations, I believe, create an alternate soundscape when compared to that of the (Original). The key variation is heard within the bass line. The (Original) bass line stood on a six note motif whereas, (variation 1.0) possesses a twelve note motif. This gives (variation 1.0) an updated element that drives it towards, my main objective, a more cyclical soundscape. Another key variation is the absence of the dominant part of the melody line. The melody line still exists in (variation 1.0), however, it only retains a single note that is heard periodically.

THRUST (variation 1.0)  concludes the two promotional releases from the THRUST series project.

Details on the upcoming _______ project will be provided next week.
