A Newly Acquired Outlook

The remainder of my summer vacation was a juggle between work, play, writing, and practice. I continued my piano lessons with Helida, though they were occasional as both of are schedules were seemingly inconsistent. However, when our schedules did permit us to meet, we resumed where we had last left off, with an integration of piano technique and composition critique.

I found, with my newly acquired outlook, a significant increase in the timeline at which my composition progressed from commencement to completion. Paying careful attentional to details that may have seemed, well, unimportant up until then. The turning point in my composition writing style was a more sophisticated sound, built on a foundation of further complex counterpoint, a melody played in conjunction with another, and the increased concrete use of expression.
