Theme phrase 1 introduces two main elements, both syncopated to the Theme layer heard in SWELL (variation 1.0). 

The first element introduced in T p1 is the strobing effect. This is syncopated to the Theme layer's, offbeat, quarter note phrasing. When contemplating how I would achieve such an effect I blinked my eyes, to each note, trying to mimic such an effect. I concluded that such an effect requires the absence of, followed by the presence of light. To achieve such desired results I led with the brand set against a black background, absences of light. This is also the absence of any attack of a theme note, only decay from the note prior. I then, visually, followed with a background identical, in color, to that of the brand, the presence of light. This is the presence of the attack of each theme note. 

The second element is the expanding of the light seen within the outlining of the brand. This effect is syncopated, rhythmically, to the bass drum. The effect, however, is doubled mainly for reasons to easily recognize it's movement against the rhythmic and visual contrast of the strobing effect.
