A Symphony of Chaos

Throughout my life I have avoided being, physically and mentally, present in the early morning hours at all costs, finding most of my inspiration to write music in the late evening. As if showing up for class at eight am was challenging enough, the abrupt awakening to a symphony of chaos, as string performance students practiced obsessively in discord, at 6 am took it over the top.

Considering the already present tension between Mr Lewis and myself, barely maintaing to keep my eyes open during his lectures only made things worse. Mr. Lewis saw my extreme exhaustion as blatant disregard and lack of respect for him as an instructor.

I often times would skip meals sneaking back to my dormitory to squeeze in a quick nap before I had to meet individually with Mr. Lewis or attend a master class. Although composition students alternative to a master class was individually meeting with Mr. Lewis, composition students were still required to attend all master classes required of performance students.
