Precision requires a lot of mathematics, because of this, I find it easier to create value charts to reference while composing so that I do not have to backtrack by making redundant calculations.
The cutoff filter, labeled brightness CC 74 when referencing the continuous controller within the Cubase 5 platform, is often made use of in my compositions. Because I rely so heavily on the filter I've charted all cutoff filter values, for Monologue, on the x axis, labeled x par when referencing the Monologue virtual instrument.
The chart is divided into 51 cutoff filter values. The underlined values are the values seen in Monologue's info box, middle right. The set of numbers joined by a hyphen is the exact values used to achieve any one of the 51 cutoff values. The final number, in parenthesis, is a rounded, exact value, number.
