Change

For the past several months, well almost a year now, I’ve been going through some very significant life changes. And one of the ways I dealt with that was by writing the song Change. It helped me to face the fears I had associated with change by allowing me to see the beauty in change.

And since we’re on the subject of change, I’ve decided to CHANGE the next single I’m looking to release. This mainly has to do with my financial situation as an independent musician. I was originally going to be releasing more than a single. I’ve decided that I’m just a little bit more comfortable releasing a single at this point. I just felt that it would be too big of a financial obligation.

So I’ve been back in the studio, hard at work, working on a variation of Change. Some people might just call it a remix. But I prefer to call it a variation and I’m gonna explained to you guys why I like to call it a variation. This has to due with the fact that I like to change the lyrics, sometimes add new lyrics, and sometimes even change the way I sing lyrics. So it’s just a personal preference and I prefer to call it a variation.

I’m also very excited for this variation because it’s going to introduce a more beat-driven side of me. I had originally done a more rhythmic beat-driven song for my first single, Lie Down (Lullaby). It’s still mellow but it at least had drums and was more rhythmic then my past two singles. So I’m very excited to reintroduce this to you guys. I’m a very energetic person so rhythm and drums just work naturally with joy personality. And speaking of rhythm and drums if you guys have not seen the movie WHIPLASH, I recommend you guys go and see it. It is freaking amazing. It’s about a jazz drummer and I just, I loved it. I thought it was great I have nothing bad to say about it. So check that out if you guys get the chance. And if you guys haven’t noticed, the background music that is playing right now is actually the instrumental master for the Change Variation single I’m going to be releasing.

So be patient with me guys, I’m going to be releasing the audio next week so you guys can get a taste of what the Change Variation is going to sound like. It’s just going to be the instrumental master. I do not have the vocals set to the track at this point but that will be coming shortly as well. I promise you guys. Hang in there. And as always enjoy.
