Martin Wheeler is a British composer more popularly know by the stage name Vector Lovers.
I do not recall how I became familiar with Vector Lovers music. I do, however, remember the first song, I heard, that attracted me to his music. It was the song titled Metrolux Forever from his self titled album Vector Lovers. The sophistication of his arrangements, mostly cyclical, were like nothing I had heard, at the time. I have always been a fan of cyclical music and Martin Wheeler executes such a element with a sense of romanticism. The cycles within his songs are often slightly varied or "rounded", a repeated phrase slightly offset in comparison to that of contrasting layers.
Vector Lovers album titled Afterglow holds two of my favorite songs, Last Day of Winter and Crash Premonition. Last Day of Winter is, by far, my all time favorite song, of his. My mood is guaranteed to be instantly lifted whenever I listen to this song. Personally, I believe that he may have tapped into certain specific frequencies, which may have the potential to induce neurotransmitters sonically.
