Thome Ohio

After my YMCA gymnastics instructor informed my parents that a better facility would be beneficial to my progress in the sport, research of the suggested facilities were necessary.

I knew of a girl that I attended elementary school with who also had an interest in gymnastics. She informed me that Thome Ohio was the facility where she trained. Interestingly enough this was one of the facilities that my YMCA instructor suggested. 

My parents and took a trip, as it was a bit of a hike, to visit Thome Ohio. I immediately knew that this was the facility that, I too, wanted to train. It was a large, one room, warehouse that housed equipment for all of both male and female events. My parents and I were then introduced to the male gymnast instructors. 

After all registration was complete I began practice, with my female classmate, at Thome Ohio. I was fortune to be able to carpool with her because our practices were were on corresponding times and days, though naturally she practiced with the females and I with the males.
