With a singing voice as beautiful as my mother's she saw it fitting to develop mine and my older brother's voice.
The Rainbow Choir was a children's choir that required an audition to be admitted. Both my brother and I successfully passed the audition and were admitted into the choir. We performed regularly for Sunday liturgies as well as holiday concerts. It was called the rainbow choir because all members wore a white button down shirt with a pair of rainbow suspenders.
This was the official beginning of my vocal career, though I was not as outgoing as my older brother was, who was to be considered for the singing angels, it did set the stage for other opportunities later in life.
